As of April 17, Texas reports at least 17,371 coronavirus cases

The Texas Department of State Health Services is tracking COVID-19 cases in Texas by county. The numbers are reported by local health officials and may not represent all cases of the disease given limited testing.

State data released April 17 shows that as of 8 p.m. April 16, there were at least 17,371 coronavirus cases in Texas. There were 428 reported deaths and 1,522 patients are known to be hospitalized. At least 169,536 tests have been run.
