On June 4, 2015, former Gov. Rick Perry announced he was entering the 2016 campaign for president, the second time he’s run for the post. Out of office for the first time since his 1984 election to the Texas House, Perry is now able to travel freely in the early-voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and beyond. The Texas Tribune has compiled Perry’s public events — past and future — since his official launch.
