Migrant crossings at the Southwest border

In March, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said it had 162,317 encounters with migrants at the Southwest border. Around 46% of the March crossings were processed under Title 42, a public health order that went into effect early in the coronavirus pandemic and allows immigration officials to quickly expel migrants back to Mexico. It is expected to end on May 11.
